A nineteenth century pair of steel scissor action candle snuffers, engraved 'Lees's Royal Letters Patent', with scrolled and circular pierced stems leading to oval ring handles, the chamber enclosing a spring action trimmer. Length measures 7 1/8 inches (18 cm).

Condition Report
The snuffers display general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. They are quite tarnished and some rust is also visible. Some rounding to edges. There is a small hole in the metal, visible to the underside of the chamber. The scissor and spring action appear to be in working order.
