Lot Description
A nineteenth century pair of steel scissor action candle snuffers with embossed foliate scroll motifs throughout, and an associated snuffer tray with shaped acanthus leaf moulded rim. Together with six other pairs of scissor form candle snuffers with associated snuffer trays, all varying in shape and design. (Some A.F) (14).

Condition Report
Varied condition, however all the pieces display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. There is heavier tarnishing to some and they would all benefit from a clean and polish. Some are in fairly poor condition and there are feet missing on a couple of the snuffers. The central fixing screws are also missing on a couple of the snuffers, or the existing screws are loose on some of the others.
