Lot Description
A George III silver pen tray of rectangular form with rounded corners and crimped rim, later decoration to the centre with scrolling foliage and floral motifs surrounding an oval panel depicting a young boy and his dog attending to a horse with a lady and gentleman to the fore, engraved monogram to the reverse of the panel. Hallmarked John Edwards III London, probably 1789. Length measures 9 3/8 inches (23.8 cm), weight 5.79 ozt (180 grams).

Condition Report
The tray displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some slight rounding and loss of detail to raised decoration. Some minor dints, bumps and creases, mainly to the crimped rim. Some very slight rubbing but hallmarks are otherwise clear and legible.
