Lot Description
An Edwardian silver mounted inkwell and stand, the small glass ink bottle with faceted sides, plain silver collar and hinged, shaped lid with engraved monogram to the centre, fitted into a plain silver stand of oblong shape with concave sides and raised above four bun feet. Silver hallmarked Horton & Allday, Birmingham 1908. Maximum length of tray measures 5 inches (12.5 cm).

Condition Report
The item displays general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Some areas of tarnishing to the silver. Also some deeper scratches and nicks are visible, especially around the aperture in the stand, where there are also some heavier contact marks. Several small surface dints and bumps are visible to the stand. Hallmarks to silver collar are clear and legible. Some rubbing to hallmarks on the stand, but they are still legible. Some minor edge nicks to glass bottle but it is generally okay.
