Lot Description
A 1930's pair of silver table vesta boxes and ashtrays, the oblong tray with central mounted hinged vesta box with engraved monogram and reed and ribbon border. Hallmarked Elkington & Co Ltd, Birmingham 1933, numbered 36212. Height measuring 2 inches (5 cm), gross combined weight 14 ozt (436 grams).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The disposable striking plates would require replacing, interior of the boxes is heavily tarnished. Monograms are rubbed/worn. The pedestal foot of the box mount has imprinted to the underside of the tray. Both hinge pins have moved out at one side. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
