Lot Description
A late Victorian silver matched condiment set, comprising a pair of circular open salts on ball feet with blue glass liners, and a pair of pepper pots, all decorated in relief with panels containing deities, also a pair of condiment spoons with spiral twist stems and deity terminals, hallmarked Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd, London and Birmingham 1885. All in a fitted case. Combined weight 3.96 ozt (123 grams).

Condition Report
All the pieces display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Heavier tarnishing to some areas. Several dints and bumps are visible, especially to the lids of the pepper pots and knocks to the foot rim. The base of one of the peppers has several creases in the metal. Small split in the rim on one of the open salts. Rim chips to glass liners. Some rubbing, mainly to maker's marks, but hallmarks are mainly legible. Case displays wear and deterioration.
