Lot Description
A pair of German candlesticks, each with detachable nozzle above a knopped central column and leading to a spreading base of shaped outline, embossed and chased throughout with flowers, foliate scroll motifs and putti holding floral garlands. Stamped 'Germany 800' to the underside. Height including nozzle measures 10 3/4 inches (27.5 cm), gross weight 29.5 ozt (918 grams).

Condition Report
Both candlesticks display general surface scratches and nicks, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some loss of detail to embossed decoration in places and some tiny holes starting to appear in the base. On one of the candlesticks, the central column is leaning over slightly to one side.
