Condition Report
The inkwell displays general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. There is some light tarnishing to the silver mounts, also several deeper scratches and marks are visible and some nicks or small gouges in the metal, especially around the edge. The hinged lid and screw closing mechanism are in working order. The main hallmarks are rubbed but still legible, however the maker's marks are partially distorted and difficult to read. Various small edge and corner chips to the glass, including a larger chip to one corner. Also numerous deeper scratches and marks to the glass, especially to the underside.
