A 1920's silver match case of hinged oblong form with foliate scroll engraving, hallmarked W J Myatt & Co, Birmingham 1922, length measuring 6 cm. Together with a late Victorian silver match box case, hallmarked Birmingham 1899, maker's mark indistinct. Gross combined weight 49 grams. (2).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The match box case appears heavily dinted. The match case interior which would hold the matches in place looks to have deteriorated, although the outer case appears in good overall condition. The hallmarks are clear and legible, maker's mark illegible to the match box case.
