Lot Description
A Victorian silver mounted purse, the hinged oblong form with bright cut engraved scrolls and central circular cartouche with monogram, opening to reveal a tan compartmentalised interior, in fitted case. Hallmarked George Unite & Sons Birmingham 1892. Height measuring 4 inches (10 cm).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The interior may not be the original or a later addition, it does display some staining, the pencil also likely to be associated and is dented to the terminal. The fitted case is in poor condition, one of the hinges on the fitted case is at fault and would benefit from some attention, the back part of the has also broken off. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
