Lot Description
A late Victorian silver trinket box, of elongated oval form with lobed outline and oblique gadrooned rim to the hinged lid, hallmarked Birmingham 1897, maker's mark partly distorted, possibly 'M&B'. Together with a small continental pot and an associated brooch lid inset with moss agate. Length of box measures 4 1/4 inches (10.8 cm), weight of box 77.7 grams.

Condition Report
All three items display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Deeper scratches and nicks are visible on the box and some small surface dints and bumps. Heavier tarnishing to some areas. Hinged lid in working order. Maker's mark is partly distorted but other hallmarks and part hallmarks are clear and legible. The small continental pot is incomplete and a piece has broken off. The brooch is associated.
