Lot Description

A William IV silver-gilt vinaigrette, the oblong form with reeded edge, floral rim, engine turned decoration and vacant cartouche, opening to reveal a floral scroll pierced grille. Hallmarked Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham, probably 1834. Length measuring 4.2 cm, weight 26 grams.

Gilding appears bright. Discolouration to the grille and interior. Part of the hallmarks appear discoloured therefore distorted.
