An early Victorian silver vinaigrette, the slim oval form with engraved body, initialled cartouche, reeded edge, opening to reveal a silver-gilt interior with foliate pierced grille, hallmarked Gervase Wheeler, Birmingham 1837 with William IV duty mark, length measuring 4 cm. Together with an early twentieth century silver pill box hallmarked Adie & Lovekin, Ltd Birmingham 1913, length measuring 4.2 cm. Gross weight 28 grams. (2).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The lids on both items rises slightly to one side when closed. The gilding to the interior of the vinaigrette has spots of discolouration. The body of the pill box has become a little concave with shallow dents. The hallmarks a little distorted to the vinaigrette.
