Lot Description

A Victorian silver vesta case of oblong form, presentation inscription with monogram and floral surround, hallmarked Deakin & Francis Ltd, Birmingham 1896, height measuring 5.5 cm. Together with two further late Victorian silver vesta cases of smaller oblong form, both with personal engravings, hallmarked Birmingham 1899 and 1900. Gross weight 72 grams. (3).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.

Some dents and bumps visible. The smaller reeded example is a little more dented, particularly the rim. Hallmarks a little distorted, maker's mark to two is partly distorted or erased.
