Lot Description
A 1930's silver Sabbath candlestick, with knopped baluster column decorated with bands of floral and foliate motifs and leading to a shaped square base with scrolled edge. Hallmarked London 1931, maker's mark 'MS', possibly Morris Salkind. Height measures 10 5/8 inches (27 cm), weight 5.57 ozt (173.2 grams).

Condition Report
The candlestick displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Heavier tarnishing to some areas. Some small surface dints and bumps are visible, especially to the larger central knop. Some loss of detail and wear to decoration. Some rubbing and slight distortion, especially to maker's mark, however main hallmarks are still legible. Part hallmarks to interior of socket are legible.
