A Victorian silver jug with engraved crest and motto, embossed leaf frieze to the bellied lower body and a vine twisted handle. Hallmarked Stephen Smith & William Nicholson, London 1863. Height measuring 8 1/4 inches (21 cm), weight 11.2 ozt (349 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Heavy tarnishing. Heavy remnants of old polish. Minor dents. Wobbles a little. Looks to be replacement faux insulators. Crest engravings rubbed. The hallmarks appear rubbed but legible.
