A rare Bilston-type enamel box with Jacobite significance. The shamrock-form body painted to the hinged cover with a thistle and two roses, one in the bud, one in the bloom, emblematic of the Young and Old Pretender, the whole signifying the 1707 Act of Union, above a pale yellow body. 2" diameter x 1" high, (5cm x 2.5cm).

General dirt and rubbing to corner, plus a few small short cracks where lobes meet. Hair cracks beneath cover. Rubbing/flaking to underside. Metal mount probably re-glued.
