Lot 304

Lot Description

A 17th/18th century Sino-Tibetan gilt-bronze figure of Jambhala modelled seated side-saddle upon a lion, holding a cobra, on a rhomboid base, traces of gilt verso. 9.75" (24.5cm) high.

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

Some age losses to base (holes and edge depletions), much gilt wear, some light rusting (or possibly red pigment) to lion's mouth and to bird surmount of headdress. Overall still nice, though back edge of plinth much depleted.
