A good Victorian brass and pietra dura mounted walnut games box. The hinged cover with rounded long edges, mounted with gothic-style brass strapwork framing oval central panel inlaid with lily of the valley and forget-me-not motifs in hardstones, the fine interior with gilt brass oval boards engraved for "BEZIQUE" and "CRIBBAGE", over three sets of playing cards, (Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee, Diamond Jubilee and Edward VII's Coronation sets), red and white draughts (checkers) set, two novelty scorers each with carved hand pointer, and approximately eighty mother of pearl gaming counters, (35 navette-shaped, 30 circular, etc.) 12" x 10" x 42 high, (30cm x 25cm x 10cm).
