A large pair of Chinese watercolours of the Emperor and Empress Dowager. Retailed by Maitland-Smith Ltd, Hong Kong, each figure seated upon a throne with projecting base, he holding a sword inscribed in Chinese characters '10,000 Years of Boundless Longevity' or similar, she holding a rui sceptre, both in ceremonial robes and headdress, 29.5" wide x 47.5" high (75cm x 120.5cm), within Chinese silk surround in hardwood frame with pierced brass cresting

Emperor has a 4" scratch beside headdress, two further scuffs beneath one arm of throne. Slight scratch to top right, minor scrapes to border. Empress in good order, though some wear to reverse
