English School, (19th century). A historical genre scene, possibly depicting Thomas Becket in Canterbury Cathedral, watercolour, lancet arched form, 22" x 36.5" (56cm x 92.5cm), in rectangular gilt surround and foliate scroll moulded gilt frame under glass

Generally brown minor staining. Gilt mount has been crudely repaired and re-gilded at apex. Minor framed repairs/losses. The painting has unfinished areas.
