A 19th century lacquered paper mache snuff box by Stobwasser of Brunswick. The rounded oblong cover decorated with a scene of lovers, entitled beneath 'Daphnis & Chloe', the interior inscribed in red "8750/Stobwasser sche Fabrik in Braunschweig", 2.5" x 3.5" x 0.5", (6.5cm x 9cm x 2cm).
