Lot Description

A German oak-cased two-train bracket clock. Winterhalder & Hofmeier, the 6.5-inch brass dial with silvered chapter ring having Roman hours and Arabic minutes, framing a matted centre within scroll spandrels, the movement stamped 'W&H Sch', ting-tang striking on two coiled gongs, the stipple-carved case with shaped arched top, bulging acanthus frieze and plinth base on block feet, 16.5", (42.5cm) high.
