Lot Description

A 19th century French giltwood three-train portico clock with calendar sweep. The 6.5-inch convex white-enamelled Arabic dial with centre calendar, the movement quarter striking on two coil gongs with unmarked backplate. The case with eagle and pine cone finials over two figures before a portico on guilloche carved frieze and tapering supports. 21 1/2" (54.4cm) high.
