A 19th century French gilt metal and porcelain-mounted mantel clock. Japy Freres, Paris, with 3.25" Roman dial, the two-train movement outside countwheel-striking on a bell, with 1855 exhibition stamp, additionally stamped Z&M Paris and numbered 3084, the case with cast bird surmount, over swags, a straw bonnet and tools, the breakfront base inset with a Sevres-style porcelain panel painted with musical instruments, on toupie feet, 12.25", (31cm) high, on a giltwood plinth.
