Lot Description

An 18th century creamware teapot and cover, the hand-painted decoration of a garden scene with a figure leaning against a scrolled, shaped support admiring an urn upon a marbled column, 5" (12.75cm) tall, with conforming cream jug, sucrier, cover and tea canister (lacking cover)

Teapot - spout badly cracked, re-glued and over-painted to end of spout. Crack to collar of neck. Cover has chip to edge. Overall heavily crazed with losses to paint. Some staining to body.

Cream jug - some chips to inside edge of spout. Small chips to edge of foot. Heavily crazed with losses to paint. some staining to body.

Sucrier - small star crack to base. Minor losses to edge of foot and top of collar. Sucrier cover - has chips to underside edge of collar. Both heavily crazed with losses to paint, some staining and marks.

Tea canister - chip and crack to top edge of collar.
