An imposing late 19th century Meissen porcelain figural centrepiece. Surmounted by a shaped pierced oval basket with pink and blue ribbon handles and encrusted with floral swags, over a courting couple encircling a tree stump, the naturalistic base on a flower-encrusted stand with leaf scroll feet, underglaze blue crossed swords to base, 19.5" across handles x 27.5" high, (49.5cm x 70cm).
