Condition Report
Overall condition fair. There are scratches to the ring in keeping with overall wear. The rubies are significantly abraded, with wear to the facet edges and faces, they vary in colour some with a stronger saturation of colour. There are chips and areas of abrasion to some of the diamonds visible with magnification, individual size and/or setting prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment.
Some of the claws appear to have been added/retipped at a later date. They are white metal and do not match the rest of the ring. There is an inner file and acid stain. The hallmarks and maker's marks have worn away. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue for coloured gemstones.
The US prohibits the importation of items containing rubies or jadeite originating in Burma. For your convenience we have applied this notice to lots which contain rubies or jadeite originating in Burma, or those of indeterminate origin.
