Lot Description
A selection of five gem-set stickpins. To include an early 20th century 9ct gold aquamarine and seed pearl stickpin, two opal stickpins of various design, a cultured pearl stickpin and a garnet eagle claw stickpin. Lengths 5.9 to 5.1cms. Total weight 7.5gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good to fair. There are scratches to the stickpins in keeping with overall wear. There are scratches and areas of discolouration to many, specifically to the stopper on the one opal stickpin. There are some scratches to the larger opal, the setting appears quite worn. The pin fitting to the opal is a replacement. The cultured pearl has a yellowish grey body colour, with visible concentric banding. There is some rain visible to the aquamarine with magnification, the seed pearls are well matched. The garnet is brownish purple with visible abrasion to the facet edges and typical inclusions, the pin is bent.
