An 18ct gold opal and diamond cluster ring. The oval opal cabochon, within a brilliant-cut diamond surround, to the tapered shoulders and plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 1.50cts. Hallmarks for London, 1976. Weight 8.7gms.

Overall condition good. Minor surface wear in keeping with general wear. Evidence of resizing. Opal dimensions 17.9 by 14.4mms. Opal with fairly even patches of play-of-colour, from red through to violet, on a whitish background. Opal in good condition with minor abrasion and scratches. Please see Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue for coloured gemstones. Diamonds bright and well matched. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. Some with no obvious inclusions, others with scattered inclusions visible under 10x magnification. Diamonds in good condition with minor abrasion. Ring size Q1/2.
