Lot Description
A set of late 19th century conch shell jewellery. The pendant designed as a carved shell, suspended from two graduated cameos, each depicting a putto within a half-shell surround, with similarly designed earrings. Length of pendant 9.8cms. Length of earrings 3cms. With fitted case.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Some fine cracks and slight discolouration to the reverse of the earrings. Length of earrings includes hook fittings for pierced ears. The reverse of the main panel of the pendant has deeper natural marks and associated discolouration. The conch shell is a medium pink through to white colour. Small areas of discolouration. The fitted box has been re-lined. May not be original to the piece.
