Lot Description
An 18ct gold alexandrite and diamond dress ring. The oval-shape alexandrite, to the brilliant-cut diamond surround with reeded corner detail and gallery. Accompanied by report number 20004728, dated 31st July 2012, from AnchorCert, stating that the central stone is natural alexandrite with a colour change from green in daylight to orangy brown under incandescent illumination. Hallmarks for Birmingham. Weight 16.8gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. There are scratches to the ring in keeping with slight wear. There are some more significant scratches to the back of the band. The inner hallmark is clear. The alexandrite is in good condition, there is an areas of colour zoning to the one side of the stone. There are some areas of abrasion to the pavillion facets visible through the crown with magnification. The diamonds are bright, individual size and/or setting prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment.
