Lot Description
A 1920s Art Deco 9ct gold diamond and enamel rouge box. Of octagonal outline, the multi-textured lid with black enamel bar and diamond point panel detail, opening to reveal a mirror and removable pierced insert. Import marks for London, 1929. Length 3.8cms. Weight 29.3gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Two of the four diamond points are deficient. Estimated total diamond weight Very slight discolouration and shallow pinhole dents to the base. The mirror shows slight discolouration to the foil. The black enamel shows few faint, light surface scratches. The removable insert is not hallmarked but included in the weight. Maker's/sponsor's mark C&C, probably for Cohen & Charles.
