The opal has a semi-translucent medium grey body colour, which slightly fades to a translucent faint grey towards one edge. The reverse of the cabochon has little/no play of colour, The reverse of the cabochon shows two small surface cavities, medium brown matrix visible. The front of the cabochon shows good play of colour with green and blue, and traces of orange-yellow. Minor abrasions. Diameter 14.2mms, depth 3.3mms.
