An 18ct gold opal and diamond cluster ring. The oval opal cabochon, within a single-cut diamond surround, to the plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.30ct. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1972. Weight 4.7gms.

Overall condition good. Minor surface wear in keeping with general wear. The opal has a cream body colour. Red, orange, blue and green play-of-colour can be seen. The diamonds are bright, lively and well matched. Light nicks and chips can be seen to some. Fine feathers and fractures can be seen under magnification. The hallmark is rubbed slightly. Ring size M.
