A late 18th century gilt key wind pair case pocket watch by Thomas Landers, London, the white enamel dial having black Roman numeral hour markers surrounded by an outer minute track with Arabic numerals at fifteen minute intervals, plain outer case, the circular inner case with initials and 1790 engraved to rear, fitted with a signed frosted gilt full plate fusee and chain movement with verge escapement and pierced balance cock. Outer case diameter 49mm.

Condition Report
Thomas Landers pocket watch, the movement is not currently functioning, balance appears intact and with a swing some functionality can be attained but the movement then swiftly ceases to work, there is a noticeable wobble during rotation of the balance, file marks to the barrel over the hooking point, signs of previous intervention, hands appear tarnished with some nicks present, the dial has chips to the edges and a multitude of scratches, glass is scratched and yellowed, case is heavily rubbed with the plating almost stripped completely off in many places, stress fracture is beginning to show on the outer case hinge, rust apparent to the surface of the case spring.
