A George IV 18ct gold key wind open face pocket watch by Charles Pitt, Chelsea, the gold engine turned dial with Roman numeral hour markers with tri-colour floral and foliate detail, all surrounded by an outer minute track, the circular shaped case, hallmarked London 1829, maker's mark obscured, with engine turned design to rear, fitted with a signed frosted gilt full plate fusee and chain movement, with ratchet tooth lever escapement, split bi-metal compensation balance and diamond end stone. Case diameter 45mm. Total weight 91gms.

George IV key wind pocket watch, movement is running and appears in good condition, balance cock different hue to the plates which is a possible replacement, some superficial markings on screw heads, dust cover appears in good condition, dust cover lock seems secure, minute hand tip has broken off, some light pitting and grime on the dial, would benefit from careful cleaning, glass is scratched from general wear - may polish out, case hinges all seem in good order, engine-turned decoration worn, case has superficial dints and scratches consistent with general wear, pendant has worn imprints front and back, bow shows signs of general wear but seems secure
