A George IV 18ct gold key wind open face pocket watch by John Ashley, London, the gilt tone dial with hourly applied Roman numerals, guilloché effect design to the centre, bordered by a minute track, circular shaped case with engine turned decoration, hallmarks for London, possibly 1825, fitted with a signed full plate fusee and chain movement with verge escapement and pierced balance cock. Case diameter 41mm. Total weight 60gms.

An 18ct gold key wind open face pocket watch, movement currently running, superficial scratching to screw heads, built-in dust cover lightly scratched, glass hinge feels secure but does not clip in place very firmly, hands look in good condition with a few superficial scratches, dial marked with faint scratching and is slightly tarnished, glass has some scuffing and light scratches consistent with general wear - may polish out, engine-turned decoration to rear is heavily worn due top age, case shows scratching consistent with general wear. bow seems secure and is showing minimal signs of wear
