A Victorian silver key wind open face pocket watch signed Baron Hill, Crewe, the white dial with hourly applied black Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial to six o'clock, all surrounded by an outer minute track, the rubbed case, hallmarked Chester 1887, fitted with a signed gilt full plate fusee and chain movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 53mm.

A silver key wind pocket watch, movement currently running, superficial marking to movement and screws, dust cover and locking clip show signs of corrosion, hinges feel secure, dial shows discolouration and light scratches, hands scuffed and slightly distorted, second hand does not match hour and minute hands, glass separate from watch, glass is chipped and scratched, bezel shows heavy scratching around opening slot, excessive play in case back hinge, cuvette scratched, pendant worn, excessive play in bow - may require some attention, bow shows signs of wear

Lot comes with a winding key and is in a base metal plastic fronted watch case - the plastic front is discoloured and badly damaged
