A Victorian 18ct gold key wind open face pocket watch by Reid & Sons, Newcastle, the gilt tone dial with hourly applied black Roman numerals, floral design to the centre, bordered by a minute track, ornately decorated round case, hallmarked London 1859, fitted with a signed three quarter plate fusee and chain movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 42mm. Total weight 58gms.

Movement currently running - would benefit from a service, superficial scratches on movement screws, movement hinge appears in good condition, hands lightly scratched, minute hand damaged - tip bent, dial marked with fine scratches, numerals wearing off, dial tarnished, glass loose, fine scratches of glass - may polish out, case marked with fine scratches and dints consistent with general wear, pendant slightly worn, bow feels secure and is showing minimal signs of wear
