Lot Description
A mid 20th century 18ct gold and platinum diamond five-stone bar brooch. The graduated old-cut diamond line, to the plain bar. Estimated total diamond weight 0.70ct, I-J colour, SI2-P2 clarity. Length 5.9cms. Weight 3.4gms. With associated case.

Condition Report
Overall condition good to fair. There are scratches to the bar brooch in keeping with overall wear. The diamonds are bright. One of the end diamonds is significantly chipped, there are small inclusions to the other diamonds visible with magnification, there is some abrasion to the facet edges. The back pin and catch is secure, the back pin is bent. The box is worn and scuffed, it does not fit the brooch very well.
