A 1960s 18ct gold sapphire and ruby foliate brooch. The circular-shape ruby and sapphire berries, to the engraved leaves and stem. Import marks for Birmingham, 1960. Length 5cms. Weight 9.5gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. There are scratches to the brooch in keeping with overall wear. There is an area possible solder repair to the reverse, close to the hallmark. The rubies are a pinkish red with a weak to moderate saturation of colour, there are typical inclusions visible with the unaided eye. The sapphires are a greyish blue with a moderate saturation of colour, there are typical inclusions visible with magnification. There are surface reaching inclusions and areas of abrasion to some of the gemstones. The back pin is slightly bent.
