A late 19th century shell cameo brooch. The shell carved to depict Phoebus and The Hours, within a plain mount and scrolling surround. Length 6.6cms.

The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. The scrolling surround may be a later addition. Pin base metal. The shell has some fine cracks and a sliver chip at the edge of the shell. Chip not visible to front of brooch. Weight 23.7gms.
