A good 19th century leather trunk. The rectangular cover and front with twin fastening straps, enclosing a lined interior with label of "John Bengough Wholesale & Retail Trunk & Portmanteau Manufacturer, 4 Tichborne Street, Haymarket, London W., By Appointment To Their Royal Highnesses the Prince and Princess of Wales", the brass lock stamped "J. T. NEEDS 100 NEW BOND STREET LATE JO. BRAMAH 124 PICCADILLY", the whole of good mellow patination and antique finish, 32.5" x 20.5" x 17.5" high, (82.5cm x 52cm x 44.5cm)
