Lot Description

A Chinese blue and white porcelain vase, 19th century or earlier, the flared neck with underglaze blue dentil frieze over stiff leaves between applied ruyi sceptre handles, the spherical decorated with two dragons amidst foliage on a tall spreading foot, six character pseudo Kangxi mark to base, 10" (25cm) high.
Provenance: purchased at Christie's Country House sale; The Weir, Swainshill, Hereford, 13th May 1985, lot 175, (ex inf. vendor).
