Lot Description
A group of seven 19th century pairs of steel scissor form candle snuffers, each similar in outline and with patent 'guillotine' action, mainly Hobday's Patent. Longest measures 6 7/8 inches (17.5 cm). (7).

Condition Report
Varied condition, however all display general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. They are all quite tarnished and rust is also visible to some areas. Some rounding of edges and pointed tips. One pair appears in poorer condition, it displays more rust and the 'guillotine' action does not appear to be working properly. All the other pairs appear in working order.
