Two 19th century Grand Tour bronze figures after the Antique, the first modelled as the Borghese Gladiator, modelled in lunging pose with short sword and shield, on a rectangular base, 10.5" (26.5cm) high. The second possibly of Mercury, in crouching position, 8.25" (21cm) high. (2).

1. Blade os sword os bent, shield appears slightly bent too (though this may be deliberate). 2. Slightly drab patination, minor rubbing to arms, otherwise sound.
