A box containing a 19th century black lacquered papier mache writing box, the sloping hinged cover inlaid with abalone shell and gilded decoration (A/F), a similar box and cover of hinged rectangular form, the domed cover with inlaid abalone shell decoration (A/F). Together with a pair of similar face screens, the hand painted shaped panels decorated with loch scenes and castles, each upon a turned and gilded wooden handle.
