A 19th century brass-bound mahogany 'Campaign' style writing box or lap desk, the hinged cover with brass corners, straps and central cartouche, enclosing a gilt tooled blue hide skiver slope, pen tray, ratchet and arm, the base with flush-fitted short end drawer, 20" x 10.25" x 6.75" high, (51cm x 26cm x 17cm).
