A late 19th century circular half length painted portrait miniature, the bust length study depicting a young gentleman dressed in a white cravat, shirt and black jacket, within a yellow metal mount decorated within an engraved band and turned circular wooden frame. Image 2 1/2", (6.25cm) diameter, overall 5", (12.5cm) diameter.

Believed to be painted upon an ivory panel, some distortion within this panel, some minor losses and surface scratches to paint, the clips holding the picture within the frame are not all present with a large amount missing resulting in the picture not fixing inside the frame.
